The YDS series liquid nitrogen tanks are primarily used for storing liquid nitrogen and biological samples. Known as "liquid nitrogen biological containers," these low-temperature containers are designed to store both liquid nitrogen and biological samples. Depending on their use, they can be categorized into liquid nitrogen storage tanks, self-pressurized liquid nitrogen tanks, and gas-phase liquid nitrogen tanks. The liquid nitrogen storage tanks can be further divided into storage types and transportation types. Storage-type tanks are mainly used for static storage and are not suitable for long-distance transport, while transportation-type tanks are specifically designed for transport conditions and feature internal shock-absorbing supports, though they can also be used for static storage when needed.
Since liquid nitrogen tanks are used to store sensitive biological samples, they must be handled correctly:
Before use, first inspect the tank for any dents, damage to the shell, or issues with the vacuum port. Check inside for any foreign objects or impurities, which should be removed to prevent corrosion. Afterward, add a small amount of liquid nitrogen to cool the inner vessel. Allow the nitrogen to settle and stabilize after the boiling stops. Pre-cooling is complete when water droplets or frost on the tankĄ¯s surface have disappeared, and no white frost remains on the neck plug.
During use, store the tank in a well-ventilated, cool area and avoid exposing it to direct sunlight. Keep the tank upright and avoid tilting, laying it horizontally, inverting, or letting it come into contact with other objects. When transporting, handle the tank gently, avoid sudden movements, and ensure the tank is secured to prevent shaking or damage.
After use, allow the liquid nitrogen to evaporate naturally and let the tank sit for several hours until it returns to room temperature. Next, clean the tank with warm water (40℃-50℃), wipe it down with a cloth, and rinse 2-3 times with clean water. Finally, invert the |
